Rubbers
Rubber The core is the main aspect influencing the performance of a padel racket. It is the soul of the racket. Adidas works with three different EVA foams, identified by different colors on the racket's handle (Red, Blue ir Black). The density is the main property of the foam that defines its memory.
Rubber memory - it is its ability to return to the initial position in the shortest possible time. The higher the density, the greater the power, and the lower the density, the greater the comfort.
More agressive or higher speed shots, greater memory lets rubber to recover faster and hit the ball with a higher speed.
Control or slower speeds shots, lower density allows the ball to be effectively propelled with a greater impulse.
Rubbers
High Memory (Red) rubber
Higher memory EVA foam. Increases the power of fast strokes. Designed for higher technical level players or those who want more power and sensitivity in their strokes. Marked with a red cap.
Soft Energy (Blue) rubber
High-density foam that ensures an exceptional rebound of the ball without losing power. Rackets are marked with a blue cap.
Soft Perfomance (Black) rubber
Low-density EVA foam that ensures excellent ball rebound and comfort in the game. Marked with a black cap.
Surfaces
In the 2024 collection, we work with 8 different racket surface fibers. Each of them has a different flexibility, and this characteristic allows to evaluate the power and comfort of the rackets.
Greater fiber flexibility, means a more comfortable ball rebound. A racket with less flexible fibers will have more power.
For attacking or fast shots lower flexibility allows the foam to return to its original shape faster, increasing the speed of the game.
In slower-paced games the ball on the racket with higher flexibility fibers reaches the layer of foam, which makes the ball bounce better.
